Ryan Hales oversees EmTech’s fabrication and daily operations, coordinating the people, resources, and processes behind each build. A co-founder of Empire Technical Fabrication, he brings experience in scenic construction, technical design, and automation to the practical challenges of delivering scenery for Broadway, touring productions, broadcasts, and events.

Ryan works across shop disciplines to keep technical intent and fabrication aligned. His focus is on clear communication, anticipating production challenges, and equipping teams to carry work through manufacture, finishing, integration, and delivery. He leads with an emphasis on craftsmanship, accountability, and dependable delivery, ensuring that the details developed in the shop serve the demands of the production.
